Fruits From Our Labors...

Tena milamina tsara ny fiainana eto Mahajanga! Mandeha tsara ny asanay ary hitanay fahagagana maro avy amin'ny Tompo!

Mahajanga is absolutely amazing! I am so lucky to be working here because it really is paradise! Ya'll would not believe how well our work is going! We put in so much time and effort everyday and this last week we definitely saw the fruits from our labors! We taught over 30 lessons and found 23 new investigators! Tena mitahy ity faritra ity ny Tompo!

Looking back on the week we had some pretty cool experiences! One experience happened on Tuesday while Elder Coleman and I were tracting along the beach! We came across this huge white house and we thought for sure that some rich vahaza (white dude) owned it! So what did we do? We straight up knocked on the door, haha! To our surprise a Malagasy opened the door and she gladly let us in! We went in the house and taught a family of 3 or 4 adults! We shared the message of the restoration and the one and only guy who was there loved it! His name is Sici and he loved it some much that he started taking pictures of our pamphlets and of he Book of Mormon! We ended up giving him the 1st pamphlet and a copy of the Book of Mormon to read! After the lesson he took us out to his yard and showed us his pet lemurs! Yes, LEMURS!  It's been a long time since I've seen those guys and it was really cool to see them again! I got some pretty good pics and I'll make sure to send them home! We have another time set up with Sici this week and hopefully we can get something going with him!

The rest of the week was spent tracting and teaching some really good progressing investigators! Like I said up above, we found 23 new investigators that are now on our program! We'll be trying really hard this week to visit and teach all of them and I absolutely can't wait! Our progressing investigators are awesome! Hopefully here soon we'll be seeing a couple of baptisms for some really good progressing investigators but we'll wait and see! So sorry that I don't have any of their names...I'm still trying to figure all that out, haha!

This weekend we'll be watching conference! YES! I have heard nothing but good things about it and I can't wait to watch it! Conference is one of those things that just gets you pumped to do missionary work!  It's going to be awesome!

Well, that's about it for my week! Sorry that I didn't talk about much but I honestly don't remember all that much about the week! All I know is that we worked our tails off and got a lot done! I love you all so much and I hope everyone has a great week!

 Love, Elder Stringfellow

P.S. If you got my other email just ignore it! I accidentally sent the unfinished copy!

Pics: Lemurs and the area! Yes, I ate that the other night, haha!

Paradise....Mahajanga

Manahoana Daholo! Tena mafana be aty fa mbola velona za!

IT'S SO HOT HERE! Like really, it's hot! Anyways, I'll stop complaining now because this is literally the coolest place in the world! Mahajanga is a tropical paradise and I already love it here!
Elder Coleman and I are going to get tons of work done and I can't wait to get it going this week!

As most of you already know Mahajanga is the farthest area north in this mission and usually missionaries take a plane to get here! Well, we had different plans this week! Due to Air Madagascar being the worst airline known to man, I was on splits all week in Tana! That means that I got to go back to Ambohimanarina! It was so cool to work there again and walk down the streets that I used to walk down! It was a great day and I was really luckily to see some of my old members again!

I also had the opportunity to go on a split with Elder Mack this last Thursday! Elder Mack and I came here to Madagascar together and he's a way cool guy! He's doing great things and he's loving his mission!

Friday eventually rolled around which was probably one of the longest days of my life! 10 HOURS! Yep, it's a 10 hour trip here by car but it was so much fun! I was with President Foote, Sister Foote, their son, and the AP's! We told lots of stories and got to hear some of President Foote's jokes! He took us to eat at some really good places and then we went and walked along the beach! It was a fun couple of days!

The main reason why President Foote came up here was to call and new Branch Presidency! We now have a complete Branch Presidency and the branch work should start to pick up now! All in all yesterday was a great day and I can't wait to start working with the new Branch Presidency!

Anyways, that's about all I have to talke about! Mahajanga is a way cool place and I can't wait to get wait to get work going! I love you all so much and I hope everyone has a great week!

Transferred to One of the Big Three....

Hey Everyone!

Big news of the week is that I am being transferred to a BIG THREE! MAJANGA BABY! Ah man, I'm so excited! I have heard nothing but good things about Majanga and I can't wait to start working up there with Elder Coleman! Majanga is a very, very hot area and it's the farthest area north in this mission! You know what that means!? I'm going back to the beach!

Even though I'm stoked to be going to Majanga, these past couple of days have been pretty rough....I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE ANDRANOMANELATRA! My heart was literally torn out when I told the news to the branch yesterday during Sacrament Meeting! I'll man up and say it but I cried yesterday .... The people in Andranomenalatra have a special place in my heart and I really do care about them! It's only gonna get worse tonight when I say good bye to the Branch president and Voangy and Prisca!

Speaking of Voangy and Prisca, they were baptized on Saturday! It was by far the coolest baptism of my mission so far! President Daniel baptized Voangy and I had the opportunity of baptizing Prisca! Ya'll should have seen how happy they were when they were bearing there testimonies the other day! It was truly incredible to see how much they had changed over the span of three months! I love those two to death and I know that they are going to do amazing things in the branch!

Other than that, there's not a whole lot more to say! I'll be leaving Antsirabe tomorrow morning and then I'll be on splits in Ambohimanarina! Ya'll remember where that is?? My first area, haha! Anyways, I'll probably be heading on a plan sometime this week to head up to Majanga! Man, I'm excited! Love you guys so much and I hope everyone has a great week! GO UTES!

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY...

Na dia maika be aza izahay mbola mandeha tsara ny asanay!

Hey Everyone!

I hope eveyone had a great week and that eveything is going well with your lives back at home! This week we were BUSY! We were so busy that we were able to get 4 splits done and I got to work with a lot of really cool elders!

To start off, on Wednesday I was able to go on a split with Elder Walker were I was able to conduct my first Baptismal Interview! Really cool experience! It was really cool to talk with someone about their understanding off the gospel without ever teaching them! Let's just say that the interview went really well and Elder Walker will be having a baptism in his area next week! :)

On Thursday, we went on another split and this time it was with the APs! Elder Herrin and Elder Rigby are two of my favorite missionaries and whenever I try to imagine the image of a perfect missionary I always think of those two, haha! It was a great split and it was good to catch up with them!

On Friday, I had the opportunity to go on a split with one of my former companions, Elder Rasafimandimby! It was so cool to be able to work with him again and to see how much we have changed over the span of 6 months! He's doing great and I believe that he is one of the better missionaries in this mission right now!

On Saturday, I conducted yet another split! This time I was with Elder Richard who did the Baptismal Interviews for Voangy and Priska! They passed and they'll be getting baptized this week! They both asked me to do their baptisms but I'm going to try and see if we can get Elder Becker to do at least one! In the end, it's their choice and we know that Saturday will be a great day no matter what happens!

Anyways, that's my weekly report! I got to conduct a lot of splits and was able to work with a lot of awesome missionaries this week! I sure do love my Zone! Love you guys so much!
